PARENTS AND INSPIRE
So, how do you know whether INSPIRE is right for your family?

Our program has been structured with busy kids and parents in mind. We have strived to create a learning environment devoid of a formal curriculum that is light on assignments, reports and tests. By and large, you are teaching skills and imparting knowledge by inspirational example and modeling - the aim being to be the adults that you want your kids to
be. As a character educator for some 35 years, Professor Malcolm Gauld, President of the Hyde Schools, located in Bath, Maine points out that "character is inspired rather than imparted. We don't pour it in, we draw it out."

INSPIRE is structured to be something the whole family can enjoy together, so it is important that you make the commitment together. You will be goal setting in whatever pursuits you are most interested in – for example, community service, cultural advancement, or perhaps even a home exercise program. Professor Gauld has also written that "we find that children are especially inspired by their parents’ dedication to personal growth. If you reach for deeper values, character, and purpose, your child will be compelled to do the same."

A comprehensive approach is needed. The content will demonstrate how virtually everything that goes on in the home affects the value and character of those within it. Suggestions and ideas of how to use all facets of the home life as deliberate tools of character development will be provided because the home is your school and the school is your home.
